As a Korean woman
Making her way in America
And making her way to the pulpit
Of Davis Community Church
As Associate Pastor
Although we spend several hours a day
Watching the news
Mostly on CNN and MSNBC
I have tried to refrain from writing about
Politics
Breaking news
January 6
The Big Lie
Etc.
These things are much
On my mind
However, were they all solved
Or even resolved
We would still be left with
A country split by
The reality of race
And systemic racism
As Eunbee said
“Racism is in our historical DNA”
However, at this moment, racism is taking a back seat
To Putin’s War with Ukraine!
