This is the day that started the pandemic
Two years ago exactly
March 12, 2020
I was at a playreading
At SCC
We had just finished
When the theatre department
maestra flew in
With her marching orders
All school activities
Were to be abandoned
Henceforth
This very moment
For at least a couple of weeks
Hah!
The end of an era
Are we ready to begin again?
Can we trust the time line?
Will we still wear masks
In perpetuity?
The truth is
Most of us will do
Whatever we have to do
To survive
