Caught up the blog!

Now I’m tired

Did some emailing with Emma and Betty

To get all relevant choir information

Wrote to Pastor Chris to thank him

For his hospitality and his packet of papers

Full of amazing possibilities

Regarding being part of

a religious community

Davis Community Church

And our potential place in it

Mark and I are both willing to engage

In this quest

Mark knows the Bible

He was raised a serious

Presbyterian

And he read the New Testament

And remembered

Just about everything he read

Which is how he does things

I know next to nothing

When I was in Germany in my latter 20s

I had six months of free time

So I read the Old Testament

I enjoyed it a lot

unfortunately

I ran out of time before I got to the

New Testament

A few years ago

I did look up the Gospel According to St. John

to see what Jesus had to say

about being born again

what he said

was pretty obscure

a parable perhaps

Jesus was known for his

Parables

But it was plenty to ponder

I will pursue his words

Until I understand them

Because I believe that everything

Jesus had to say

Is at the heart of my journey

Here on earth

Day 3 of Ketanji

Still hanging in there

In the face of relentless haranguing

From the opposing side

She is still intelligent and articulate

And in control of her thoughts

And words

No matter how many times she has to

Repeat them
