8 pm OPUS in SF

 

Drove to San Francisco

Extremely stressful

Hard to think of all those

San Francisco trips

For years and years

Three or four times

A week

It makes me weak

To think of it

 

Scary parking lot

In the Tenderloin

But the Center for New Music

(C4NM)

Is still going strong

It has fantastic acoustics

A beautiful well-tuned piano

And Megan Cullen

Never sounded better

At the keyboard or

Singing

 

Some new people

Young and old

And in between

With instruments

And new compositions

Mark conducting

And even Hussein

Constructed an impromptu piece

For our wedding

Fun

 

Made it out of the parking lot

With Megan Cullen and Nanda

For company

 

Left SF by way of

 the Golden Gate Bridge

Through Marin

Across the flat lands

To I-80

And home
