The Daily Breath - January 27, 2022

 

I’m singing with the choir

I wish I could sing higher

but my soprano days are done

so I’m trying to have fun

          singing alto

 

We’re rehearsing via Zoom

we are in our own room

so we cannot hear each other

and that is hard, O brother

          for an alto

 

I depend on other singers

especially certain wingers

who have perfect pitch

that’s an enviable niche

          for an alto

 

what I really need

          is a piano!
